Liz is a resort manager in Tenerife and has been working for Palmair for 17 years which she still 'enjoys very much indeed'. She works with her husband Tomas and they have two sons Benjie and Paolo.
Puerto de la Cruz in the north of the island nestles at the foot of the Orotava Valley and is home to a great lido and plenty of shops, bars and restaurant. This impressive hotel has a good range of facilities and is close to the beach, and just under a mile from the centre of Puerto de la Cruz. Guests can enjoy the panoramic views of the sea and across to the mountains from the 5th floor terrace. There is a shopping area and a good range of facilities, a daytime activity programme and evening entertainment. Recommended for: This hotel is recommended for couples of all ages as long as they have no walking problems, and there are also good facilities for families. The black sand beach is only 5 mins away from the hotel so ideal for beach bathers (watch the strong currents!) and the town centre is approx 15 mins walk away. Near to the bus station for those who like to use the local buses and also just a short walk to the fabulous Loro Parque.
