A wonderful climate and excellent man-made beaches make this resort ideal for families. Its a haven for the young and active looking for a lively and varied nightlife, with many elegant hotels, lots of shops, bars, discos and restaurants.More Information
Playa de la Americas surprises many first time visitors with its variety of quality accommodation and its excellent manmade beaches. The beach front at Las Vistas is excellent for strolling and there is also a pleasant nature walk along the hill that separates Las Americas from its neighbour Los Cristianos. Boat trips offering whale and dolphin watching are available from Puerto Colón and there are 2 excellent waterparks easily reached by a free return bus service. The Safari Shopping Centre offers some of the best shopping in the south and houses some excellent lunch/dinner venues and the Mare Nostrum complex – famous for its flamenco show - is opposite. If you are looking for nightlife, there are plenty of shows, karaoke and sports bars to take you into the early hours. The area is ideal for wheelchairs or guests with walking difficulties.
