Punta Prima, Minorca
Is located in the south east corner of Minorca and has a large fine white sandy beach. You will find a small selection of bars, shops and restaurants. For local journeys during the day and well into the early evening, a leisurely mini train runs around Punta Prima and into the nearby resort of Binibeca. The capital is 20 minutes away and can be reached by public bus.More Information
One of Menorca’s finest resorts, with a beach of fine white sand and clear turquoise water. The channel between the beach and the Isla del Aire is busy with passing boats during the summer months. There are sports on offer at the hotels, a playground just behind the beach and a ‘train’ follows the coast to the next resort of Binibeca. All facilities are available on the beach, including lifeguards. Services include shops and a chemist; and an evening craft market is held twice a week during the summer. There is a large choice of restaurants, all with good sea views. Recommended restaurants: Casa Fermin, El Faro. From Punta Prima, it is quite easy to reach the other coastal resorts of Binibeca, Cala Torret and Binisafuller.
