In the sweep of the large natural bay, this popular attractive resort has a long sandy beach, lovely promenade, quality shops, boutiques, fine restaurants and bistros, waterside bars and a marina. Two markets each week in the area.

One of the most popular resorts on the island, with miles of long sandy beaches along with a lovely promenade, great for cyclists and walkers alike. You can walk right along the promenade over to Alcudia. There are some good cafes and restaurants, both in the port and in the town of Pollensa, in the port you will find many good cafes around the main square, behind the hotel Daina. The square is where you will find the very popular street market on Wednesday mornings, stroll around the many stalls and listen to the lovely sound from the Peruvian musicians, who play there most weeks. The market, as with many others on the island, is good for leather goods, pottery and many handcrafted souvenirs. Take the ferry across from the Port over to Formentor, a 40 minute crossing, you can take your swimming things and swim in the wonderful Bay of Formentor, or stroll over to the famous hotel Formentor and have afternoon tea, or just a quick coffee. Either take the ferry back again, or take the local bus back, this will take in the breathtaking scenery on the way back to the Porty. Pollensa Port and town is especially good for walkers and ramblers alike. Do the walk over to Cala San Vicente, just over 5 kilometres, or just the gentle walk to the Boquer Valley to start with. The walk to the town of Pollensa is another interesting walk, and of course when you arrive there, you could if you have any breath left, walk up the Calvery steps, 365 of them! After which you will be ready for some refreshment in the lovely old square. If you are in Pollensa during the months of July and August, do not miss the summer fiestas, especially the very big one where everyone dresses in white, and where the live music and DJ starts at 22.30hrs and finishes at 07.00am. Even for the staff of Palmair, this is one of the best nights on the island.
