Torri Del Benaco, Lake Garda
A small, pretty resort with a maze of narrow traffic-free streets, beautiful shops and delightful glimpses through stone arches to the waters of the lake. The harbour dates back to Roman times and in the evenings it is dominated by the floodlit 13th century Scala Castle. Pleasant lakeside promenade and walking trails up to the village of Albisano to enjoy the excellent views. Narrow shingle beaches with safe bathing are nearby and mountain bikes can be hired, the really energetic might make it to the top of Monte Baldo. On the eastern side of lake Garda, from Torri del Benaco, you can quickly reach the western side thanks to the Navigarda ferry service.
