Nissaki is nestled in stunning countryside of the north east coast and is renowned for its connection with the Durrel family, and the Rothschild estate. Nissaki is unspoilt, and provides a stunning backdrop of mountain, olive groves and cyprus trees sloping to the sand and shingle of her unspoilt beaches and communities. There are no large ATM machines or supermarkets in Nissaki, but small local seasonal shops are available. Nissaki provides an opportunity for relaxation, reading and swimming in beautiful natural surroundings, whilst providing all the while a stunning view in the distance of the historic old Fortress in Corfu town. This area boats clear waters and opportunities for snorkeling and diving, whilst walks through olive groves provide delightful strolls in the evening. The mountain villages of the north east coast provide the car hire enthusiast to explore and discover at every turn the charm and hospitality of the local Corfiot people and simple tavernas. Kassiopi fishing village at the top of the north east coast is a popular resort which is well worth visiting and has a charm of its very own.
