A small village about six miles north of Corfu town located on a peaceful, fairly isolated promontory off the main road. The village has two high streets, one leading to the neighbouring village of Gouvia - a walk of some 10-15 minutes. Marina located on the edge of the village.More Information
Kontokali is a simple, yet busy Corfiot village close to Corfu town. It is within easy walking distance of the attractive and well planned marina, with coffee bars, restaurants, swimming pool and croquet club. Excellent bathing and beach facilities are available on the outskirts of Kontokali well away from the village centre and has a selection of tavernas, grill rooms, and supermarkets. Kontokali village runs parallel with the main road, but has a community back road connecting the village with the nearby bustling resort of Gouvia. There is a large garden centre boasting an impressive array of plants, bushes. Trees and seasonal flowers. On the main road there is a comfortable, spacious coffee bar designed with young children in mind complete with play facilities and children's décor. The location and proximity of Kontokali provides convenient, speedy access to Corfu Town's quality shopping, boutiques and exquisite array of jewelery specialists both day and night. A memorable night out shopping followed by dinner in the old historic city with a backdrop of the old fortress and St. Spyridon's church is a memory to treasure.
