For a little more sophistication, Vilamoura is ideal. Here is one of the largest private developments in Europe comprising a large marina, hotels, apartments and golf courses, and offering horse riding, bowling, tennis, clay pigeon shoot and other sporting facilities. The marina is the main attraction with a huge choice of restaurants, shops, bars and watersports. There are two beaches and many green zones in flat surroundings, making it ideal for the not so agile. For those who enjoy the occasional flutter, the Casino is nearby.More Information
Vilamoura is a more sophisticated and upmarket resort with many sporting facilities including golf, bowling, tennis and water sports. The centre of this purpose built resort is the Marina. Super choice of restaurants but they can be pricy. Good for walking especially on the Falesia Beach, west of the Marina. The golden sands stretch many kms as far as Albufeira. The Restaurant “Concorde” tucked away behind the Marina is a favourite.
